Water’s Edge Lawsuit

On Thursday, November 29, 2018, after months of attempting to resolve Tenants’ claims with Water’s Edge, a Master Complaint was filed on behalf of the Tenants of Water’s Edge Apartments – Revere by the Chapdelaine Law Office.  With the Master Complaint, a Motion for Certification of Class Status was filed with the Court.  The case is pending at the Eastern Housing Court, in Boston, Massachusetts.  Water’s Edge – Revere, Carabetta Management Company and Evelyn “Kiki” Carabetta are included as named defendants.

The Chapdelaine Law Office is actively pursuing damages for all of the residents of Water’s Edge apartment complex in Revere, Massachusetts.  Waters Edge Apartments in #Revere, Massachusetts is located at Revere Beach and is currently managed by #Carabetta Management Company.

This page has been created to assist in informing the residents of the Water’s Edge – Revere as to the resources that have been made available to them as well as to provide updates on the Tenants’ Lawsuit against Water’s Edge.

PER THE ORDER OF THE HOUSING COURT, DATED FRIDAY, MARCH 9, 2018, THE FOLLOWING NOTICES WERE PLACED UNDER EACH RESIDENTS DOOR:

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

While the elevators are out of service, please contact Water’s Edge management office if you require assistance or reimbursement for hotel accommodations.

The office will be open from 8 AM to 7 PM at 370 Ocean Ave every day while the elevators are being repaired.  You may also reach us at 781-286-2014 or [email protected]

For all residents with difficultly taking the stairs, Water’s Edge will cover alternative housing expenses up to $125 per day.  Water’s Edge will offer the same assistance to all residents in units on the third floor and above.  If hotel rooms are not reasonably available at that price, please reach out to management to discuss.  In addition, if you choose to stay at a hotel, Water’s Edge will allow a rent reduction to compensate for the added expense for food of $25 per person, per day.

Reimbursement will be available from the management office, with proof of a hotel receipt.  If you do not have a credit card, contact management for a check in advance.

DE ACUERDO CON LA ORDEN EMITIDA POR EL TRIBUNAL DE VIVIENDA EL VIERNES 9 DE MARZO DE 2018, LOS SIGUIENTES AVISOS SE DEJARON DEBAJO DE LA PUERTA DE CADA RESIDENTE:

AVISO PARA LOS RESIDENTES

Cuando los ascensores se encuentran fuera de servicio, comuníquese con la oficina de la gerencia de Water’s Edge si usted necesita ayuda o desea un reembolso para hospedarse en un hotel.

La oficina se encuentra abierta desde las 8 AM hasta las 7 PM en 370 Ocean Ave, todos los días, cuando se están reparando los ascensores.   Además, usted puede contactarnos llamando al 781-286-2014 o enviando un correo electrónico a [email protected]

Para todos los residentes que tienen dificultad para usar las escaleras, Water’s Edge cubrirá los gastos de alojamiento alternativo hasta $125 por día.  Water’s Edge ofrecerá la misma ayuda a todos los residentes que se encuentren en las unidades del tercer piso y pisos superiores.  Si las habitaciones de hotel no están disponibles de forma razonable por ese precio, comuníquese con la gerencia a fin de tratar esta situación.   Asimismo, si usted decide quedarse en un hotel, Water’s Edge le brindará un descuento en el alquiler a fin de compensar el gasto adicional de la comida. Dicho descuento será $25 por persona, por día.

Todo reembolso estará disponible en la oficina de la gerencia, y usted debe presentar el comprobante del hotel como prueba.  Si no posee tarjeta de crédito, comuníquese con la gerencia para recibir un cheque por adelantado.
